OUR PROGRAMS

Here at Georgia Hebrew Academy, we follow the international Common Core standards which guide our core classes of ELA, Math, Science, and History programs.  We also use Common Core standards to ensure that our scholars hit the standards required in but not limited to: Fine Arts electives such as Music, Photography, Painting, and Mosaic Art as well as other electives such as P.E., Health and Wellness, and Club.  We are a Nation governed by the laws of the Creator of heaven and earth, the Power of Abraham, Yiscock, and Yacob, above all other man-made laws. Our Torah and Culture class is our 5th core class.

Transition Program

Georgia Hebrew Academy’s Transition curriculum includes Life and Careers, 21st Century, and Work-Based Learning.  Our program will guide and prepare our scholars in the process of transitioning into adult roles and responsibilities, preparing them to make informed decisions. Our scholars will gain the needed career-ready practices, including career awareness and exploration as well as financial literacy skills that will enable them to adapt to and succeed in an evolving entrepreneurial realm, workplace, and global society.

Academy to Work
High School scholars have the opportunity to participate in current and future Georgia Hebrew Academy’s enterprises such as Scholar's Cove, Hezekiah’s Transport, Yael Motors, Green Vision, and Talmahdeem Lahageem. Furthermore, our younger scholars will help cultivate our school store, “Yah's Family Market.”

Financial Literacy
Scholars will participate in our Financial Literacy program based on current grade and academic level. Scholars will, over a 12-year term, view multiple aspects of the financial world from domestic/foreign currency recognition to future financial investment and planning.

Scholar Support Team
All scholars receive a support team that follows them throughout their academic career at Georgia Hebrew Academy. The Team consists of: parent(s), Homeroom Educator, Spiritual Adviser, Academic Adviser, Administrative Representative, and any specialist(s) (OT, PT, Reading, or Master Tutor).

Educational Excursions
Educational Excursions are designed with “classrooms without walls” in mind. Our scholars will partake in trips that enrich their minds and expose them to different careers, entrepreneurial endeavors, and the greater world at large -- all while having fun. Our excursions will be in-person or virtual -- trips around the world that far exceed a scholar's young imagination.

Hebrew Yisraelite/Black Diaspora History
Georgia Hebrew Academy will use a systematic curriculum framework for the teaching of Hebrew Yisraelite, African, and African American History in our academy. It is our aim for our scholars to learn about the political, economic, social, religious, and cultural factors that have influenced our lives from antiquity to today. Our ever-developing curriculum will continue to provide development workshops, initiative allowances, and community input for educators to glean from.

Language Initiative
Our Hebrew Language Program is designed to carry out the most effective and efficient way toward fluency in the Hebrew language. However, we also take pride in cultivating world business-savvy scholars so that our children can compete in the business world. We also offer Spanish and Kiswahili.
